Traffic Stop Siren Tones

Featured Replies

I just had an idea that sounds to me would be pretty easy to make, but since i'm not a modder i have no clue how to do.

So here is my idea replace the audio of the officers when your pulling someone over to different siren tones, so instead of saying "lets slow it down" or "pull your vehicle to the curb" it would say " woop woop" or "weee op" and "wo woo wooo" and "Woop woo" Well you get the idea

Would anyone be willing to try this and release it to the public?

i Know exactly what you mean, I've been looking for something like that also. I know where to find the correct audio, i just need the correct recorder that would record at the right frequency 24000Hz. anyone know

Police just use manual (and press it a few times) they don't always use siren tones for stops. If you use ELS V7 or ELS V8, you can just press "t". But a script like this would be interesting.

This is an example:

Try Audacity. I highly recommend it, as I use it quite often!

While it's true you can just use "t" or 1, 2, or 3 (if you use ELSv8) but that would cause the car to immediately pull over.  If you replace the audio of the officer speaking over the PA, it is more realistic in that the car will pull over when it feels like it.

The thing is, you would have to replace the PA audio for every officer/model that has its own PA audio.  I can do something like this, but I don't know which audio samples to replace.  Not to mention, it also depends on which siren you have.  If you use a Whelen 295, and these "woop woop" samples are made with a FedSig Touchmaster Delta, it would sound very out of place.

Actually some departments use a full siren for a stop and turn it off once the person has stopped.

It would be cool to add multiple tones for different voices so it kind of randomizes what tone is played

You can convert it easily.

And most .IVAUD files do not need the same frequency, only similar
