GTA IV LCPDFR 1.0C Not Working

I did manual, automatic install millions of times. When I launch it, it says "GTA IV has stopped working". I figured out that the advancedhookinit.asi file is the problem. When I take it out, it works but alt+p wont work (mod dosent start). Please help. I downloaded all the files I needed, I don't understand why it wont work.

Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR.

You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them.

Please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: .Net Framework 4.5Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012

If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post.

If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following:

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log).
  • Include as much information as possible.
  • Post your system specifications.
  • Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods.

Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.

I have tried all the solutions on the forums but to no luck. No other mods are installed. How do I post LCPDFR.log? I purchased through steam so its up to date. All Net frame, and visual up to date.

You post the log in the same way you posted the others. It will be a file just called LCPDFR if you have Windows 8 (that's what I use). If you're able to double click the file and it shows you your logs, then that's the file you want. Or did LCPDFR.com give you an "Error 500"?

Also, it looks like you're using Xlive for your ASI loader. Have you tried dsound.dll instead?

Sorry, was busy doing errands.

I thought you run the diagnostics and open log to get it, but it crashes when doing that. I dont have a file called LCPDFR in my directory.

I am using dsound.dll but I tried both. I am stuck using .91 on a different folder since .95 crashes upon making an arrest.

I finally got it working (though its laggy as hell). I put the advancedhookinit.asi file into the script folder and it started working! Thanks for the support everyone!

I'm glad to hear that it's working. Now if you wouldn't mind, select "Mark Solved" on one of the comments so that this topic can be closed. The moderators probably don't like having to do it themselves. Happy gaming!
