I need help...if i run gta as admin it says to update dierct x but when i do it says i have the lastest or equilivant version

it comes up as the following:

"GTA IV FATAL ERROR:Unable to create depth render target-check that your video card meets or exceeds the min requirment. you may also try re-installing DirectX and/or the lastest video card driver"

and other times it loads gta and crashes like 2 sec after one screen (basically showing the copyrights screen) just got it a couple days ago looked around the fromns and read the bulliten and found nothing like this...If u can pls help! THX

What graphics card do you have?

where do i find that out?

It says i have the lastest Direct X installed on my computer.

if it matters im using a laptop if thats the problem or not too....

Go to Start>Run>type "dxdiag". Go to display. That is your graphics card. Go to the company's website and download your drivers.
