Charge Island shootout

Featured Replies

Whenever I get the Charge Island shootout callout, the "you can call additional backup units" text pops up MUCH sooner than normally (when I am on the bridge to Charge Island from Alongquin). I think I am fairly close to the actual shootout by straight-line distance, but I immediately have to turn pretty much directly away from the shootout, go through the tollbooth, and only then go back and get to the warehouse.

Also, when I get there, there are no cars or peds, just a few weapons lying on the ground. Is this connected? I was thinking that the peds may be spawning because LCPDFR thinks I'm getting close, then, when I get far away, the game despawns them. If I use SNT to teleport there, everything works normally.

The peds will despawn when the callouts ends or when you get too far away after it's already in progress. You are right, the callout can start even if you still have to drive a few minutes. It's using the air line distance here, which is definitely something we have to work on, but for now you have to live with it.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

OK. Thanks for the clarification. Is there a way to increase the distance I can drive away without the peds despawning?

When I get this call, when I get there, there is nobody there and I just get the "mission successful" tune. I have responded to this call like 7 times and I've never been able to do anything in either.

Not my suggestion but it works. Can't recal who gave me the tip but start traveling there are accept the call when nearly there. In other words dont accept call right away. Seems to work well.

Other method is to pull up on the bridge and get a sniper rifle out. You can get all but the ones deepest into the structure :p

The same with fishmarket on the main island. If you are too far away and accept the party is over by the time you get there. For me it's realistic, You have to concider where you are when accepting / declining callouts
