GTA Frustrating issues

Featured Replies

Hello all. So I recently reinstalled GTA onto my computer. It was quite the mistake. Before I uninstalled it, I was getting anywhere from 35-60 frames, good for me. Now, I get anywhere from about 15-40. The difference is quite noticeable. Also, the biggest issue, is the texture problems. I lose textures very easily, within about 10 minutes of playing. The crashing is also now quite frequent. I have 3 car models in right now, all 3 I have used on my old install with no issues. I have a command line in as well. Here are my specs:

Nvidia GTX 650 TI 1gb

AMD FX- 4100 3.6 ghz Quad Core Processor

8Gb of RAM

Any help or fixes would be great!

Did you try lowering graphics settings?

By default GTA IV, on install/ re-install erases your previous graphics settings, that may have given you a higher FPS environment, and resets it with the highest possible settings, for your PC.

Just a thought, as I've had to re-install a few times, and the result is the same every time for FPS, and I've never had this happen, and have never needed a commandline either.
