Installing policecar skin - Problem: Only 3 files in police.wtd

Featured Replies

Hi. Iim going to install a new skin and in the readme file it tells me to clik on the police_sign file and that its usually 4 of them (police_sign_1, police_sign_2..) and when I edit police.wtd there is only 3 files there and none of them is police_sign files and I tried to search for a tutorial on youtube and on the videos I see lots of files there and some few police_sign files but I have only 3 files.

How do I solve this?

because the stock police.wtd isn't multi-livery. For a fact it isn't even mapped with a template.

Well, Im not allowed to use mods in multiplayer servers so I actually just want to install a skin for the default police car. Is that possible?

There's a vehicle share texture in ...pcmodelscdimagesvehicles.img called vehshare.wtd that contains the texture for default police cruisers, but you would have to make your own texture. You can't use a texture designed for a CVPI, charger, tahoe, etc. It uses a different pattern than downloaded cars.

EDIT: The specific texture name in the .wtd file is vehicle_generic_police_livery

There is no point to that, it's not properly mapped. The only thing I can think of are the Police Cruiser & Patrol by Lt.Caine which are the default cars and have a proper mapping.
