Installing LCPD:FR onto a fresh PC

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

So I just finished my PC build, and my GTA4 has just finished downloading onto my steam account. For those who haven't seen my first thread, I am completely new to PC gaming and have 0 idea what I'm doing. I would like to install the latest version of LCPD:FR along with whatever else I need to run the game (ELS [whatever that is], car files, script files[whatever that is], road textures, the in-game menus that people bring up [car spawning, close all doors, etc], vehicle skins, etc). I've looked on YouTube, but all I find are videos of previous LCPDFR versions and they aren't as helpful as I would like them to be. If someone here could direct me to the easiest follow-along tutorial along with a tutorial showing how to download different cars and skins and script files and all the fun stuff, or perhaps help me out in some way, I would greatly appreciate it.

Mods, if I have made this thread in the wrong place, please move it to the correct place.

I sincerely thank you in advance.

First install these:

http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=30679 (please only download and install the x86 one)

Then navigate to where you have your GTA root folder and right click on the game folder and select properties and un-tick read only and then apply.

Once that's done, download LCPDFR 1.0 automatic install:  http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/download/4607-lcpd-first-response/

Once it's done downloading extract the file and right click on it and run as administrator.

Then follow the instructions on screen.
