Model Editing?

Featured Replies

I assume there are a lot of good modders out here who know tips and tricks and I have a question in regards to modeling.

In the community I play in, my friend is trying to edit an undercover model so that there is only the pistol and ammo on the belt instead of the handcuffs, radio and flashlight. Is it possible to remove the items I listed? I'm not asking for a walkthrough step by step on how to do it, I'm just interested in knowing if it would be possible to remove these items and how exactly would it be done?

And I don't know if this is any help but my friend uses zmoddler (atleast thats what im told) to edit the models.

It's possible, but not in Zmodeler. Ped modeling uses 3ds max and openFormats, not Zmodeler (which is really only used for cars; 3ds max is a far superior program, but openFormats doesn't work for cars). What I would do would actually be to import the fatcop, whose belt has all the parts separated (making it very very convenient to assemble police gear out of).

That's assuming that Zmodeler hasn't somehow added wdd export since I last checked, but 3ds max is better software anyways.
