ELS lights not looking right

Recommended Posts

This all started last week...my game was working just fine and everything looked good in my opinion. I was only using LCPDFR and ELS v8. However, I decided I wanted to try CryENB v2. I installed it, and the graphics looked great, however, I had some stability issues with it. I started messing with the settings, and got frustrated. I ended up uninstalling everything, and doing a clean install of EFLC, and installed LCPDFR and ELS v8. Ever since then, I can't get anything to look how it used to look. The ELS lights in-game don't seem to have any brightness to them.

If I turn up the value of the car.defaultlight.emissive.on, it does nothing for the quality or brightness of the lights. All it seems to do is make the lights more or less white. I also tried changing the bloom intensity settings in the visualsettings.dat and it didn't seem to have any effect on the lights either. I installed RealityIV2.0 timecyc and shaders, and it also had no effect on how the lights look. I'm pretty frustrated at this point, and have tried various solutions that I've come across, but they dont' seem to work. I attached some screenshots of what I'm talking about. The corner strobes and headlights look good, and the values in the visualsettings.dat seem to work on those, but have little to no effect on all of the other lights.

I've made sure that I change the settings in the files both in the main EFLC directory and also TBoGT directory as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Edit: Solved. Installed Radiance Mod.

Been out of town for a couple days...game is currently installed with LCPDFR and ELS only. No ENB or other mods, and I still get the same effect when I change the values in the visualsettings file. I had issues with CryENB, which is why I ended up reinstalling everything and starting fresh.

Currently, the colors look fine, but there is no brightness to them. Any suggestions?

when you edit the visualsettings file you might lose els compatability. try to put back the origional file, that should fix it

Some ENBs change the shaders folder as well, which can disable stuff like shadows, so I assume they might just disable the bloom as well. When you reinstalled the game, have you deleted the whole folder (what was left), or did you just press uninstall?

I suggest trying out different timecyc.dat mods, and place them in TBOGT/pc/data folder and also try to keep messing with your visualsettings.dat as well in TBOGT/common/data folder.

Also do you have more then 1 copy of the game on your HDD? If you have more then one copy, EFLC tends to use always the TBOGT and TLAD folder from the original game location.

Well I ended up downloading Radiance Mod and that seemed to get everything back to how it should look. Thanks for the replies.
