Hello everybody,

I recently installed the LCPDFR mod (0.95 beta version) to my legitimate GTA IV game. I can play the game normally for about 15-20 minutes (answer certain 911 calls, arrest people, do traffic stops...) but then the scenery starts to disappear (progressively) first , the walls and buildings vanish , and then the road. So after all this I can only see the cars, pedestrians, and little detail such as street lights.I don't know what could be causing this and it is quite disturbing...

I also get 2 different error messages:

the first one to pop-up is the unhandeled exception one ( existing topic )

Once the scenery is 80% gone , I get one that says "error in script see sharp engine core".

Extra info:

1. My GTA version is the latest : 1.0.7.0
   
2. I had installed the PPM (police pursuit mod) a couple days ago, but I thought LCPDFR was better so I unistalled it and deleted all the files concerning PPM.
   
3. The scenery does not disapear completely.
   
4. Somehow after I installed LCPDFR, my GTA IV saved games were earased , so I had to start from the very beggining.
   

I was going to post the results from the diagnostics tool but it crashed when i used it but I did see this , if it can help:

CPU supported

RAM not supported

.Net framework 4.0 installed

Visual C++2010 redistributable installed

GTA IV detected

(This is were it crashes and stops working)

Please reply with something more meaningful than just a "bah humbug." At least quote just the part that you're referencing too rather than the whole post.

Try the RC, not the beta. See if it improves the gameplay any (since the beta is outdated). I will say, however, that disappearing scenery almost always means your GPU is too weak, and it can't handle the game. Reduce your graphics settings as well.

I made a mistake I do have the RC version (sorry) .

But I didn't have this graphic problem before , I could play GTA fo hours and it never happened. So do you think my GPU can't handle LCPDFR ?

I will reduce my graphic settings and see if it solves the problem.

It's probably your GPU, do you use any car mods? If so, try uninstalling those and any other mods you're using.

I don't have any car mods, but as I said i did install and remove shortly after the police pursuit mod before LCPDFR. I will see if I didn't forget to delete some of the PPM files or other stuff that has anything to do with it.
