My first Wrecker!

Featured Replies

So the day has finally come that I have my own tow truck, I am looking for ways to improve it, it IS an older truck it's a 1999 Ford F550 Super Duty with 7.3 in her, very reliable engine compared to the new 6.0, anyway, I'm looking for ways to be visible without over doing it, this day & age no one cares about us tow truck drivers, so visibility is a HUGE thing, however, I will also be getting into the repossession stuff as well whether it be Special Constable through the Department Of Justice or just under a Bailiff as a Recovery Agent.

The Whelen Edge is staying, I want to put some Vertex on the front fenders and strobes in the marker lights, but need to be visible in the rear as well, any thoughts would be appreciated, be creative.

For starters I would swap out all the rear lighting for LED's , Brake/Stop lights and Spot lights. Then I would add strobe lights to the brake lights and In The spot lights. Then I would add additional lighting near the spot lights and the brake lights (whatever brand you like)like the body Mount led lights found on strobesnmore.com in the bodymount section.
