Regarding Slower Site Speed and File Approvals

Hello everyone.

 

As some of you may have noticed the last few days, the site has been pretty slow, particularly with download speeds and images. Jay has checked the site, and believes the issue is with a middleman, not us. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to fix the problem.

 

This isn't only affecting you, but staff as well. As a result of this, there are several files awaiting approval with no issues that we know of, but because of the downloads cancelling out, we can't thoroughly check them. Please bear with us for the time being, and we will try to approve those files as soon as downloads are working well again.

 

This problem affects files over 4 mb in size the most. Around 4.5 mb in, the download speed drastically slows down and soon cancels out.

 

For the time being, we are asking people that want files approved sooner to try to minimize the file's size. This can be done by removing preview images from the actual file, and, if on a pedestrian model, only including the ped textures and instead linking to the model.
