ELS cars and color changing

Featured Replies

This may be a bit off topic for the forums, but since it involves ELS, I thought it would be ok.

I have several ELS cars of which I would like to change the color of (a unmarked white car to a black car for example). I have SNT and there is the color change option. I can only change the color of the cars that don't have ELS (the basic ones). how do you change the color. Or is it even els and just the fact that it's in imported car? if so, is there a way to change the color? I would appreciate a response, thanks

Non ELS cars: Change the color in the carcols.dat

ELS cars: Have to modify the skin/texture thats provided, Might have to find one on Gtapolicemods.com or other modding sites, Other wise, no way I know of changing there color, Hope this helps, JAM.

ELS cars : You have to export the paintjob image / livery from the .wtd file relating to that car with something like sparkiv. Then using something like photoshop or Gimp change the colour, then re'import it.

If you know how to add ElS cars to the game then Importing new liverys is pretty much the same process of using spark to replace files.

As for changing the colour of the car if it's just a simple all over colour change then I'm sure someone will do that for you if you don't know how.
