I am wondering what causes my game to crash while selecting a police car on lcpdfr. When i only have three modded cars installed which are police1, police2, and fbi. and els v5 all other files are up to date. my game runs fine if i have three low poly cars with one livery. but with multiple liverys on police1 and police2. the vehicles dont even pop up in the allyway at the police station. what can i do to fix this problem and if it is possible to change more than three cars in the game without a crash? Do i need to buy better copents for my pc like processor,motherboard, graphics card ect? Thanks for any possible help and suggestions.

It's because of the ELS cars in the "Police1" and "Police 2" slot, because your overloading the game. Try replacing those slots with the default vehicles again and mod slots that are not used so much by LCPDFR such as "NOOSE" and "FBI"

ok i did what you said i replaced police1 and 2 to there orginal state and only have the fbi and noose cars modded in game. the same thing still happens when i get to noose the car doesnt appear and it says unhandeled error see logfile in top left hand corner of my screen as it always has when this happens. any more suggestions on how to fix this problem i am haveing?the other mods i have installed are traffic fix v5, light indicator script,els v5, less overtaking mod. the game runs fine with just fbi, police 1 and 2 modded with the cars only having one livery it never crashes. thanks agian for all your help.

• When selecting vehicles does the game actually crash to the desktop or does the vehicle just not appear?
  
• Go to your root directory of GTA IV directory, open up the LCPDFR.log and post the contents here.
  
• Just to check, what version of LCPDFR are you running? 0.91 or 0.95?
  
• Also what patch of GTA are you running?
  

it doesnt always crash to the desktop, sometime i can hit enter even if the car isnt there and it will go back to the loading screen for like three mins then the buildings start to dissapper if it loads.

running patch 1.0.7.0

0.95rc1 fixed currently but beta 1 seems to work better for me i dont know why.

I now have a fresh install with just lcpdfr 0.95 rc1 installed. no cars, els or anything else.

what steps can i take to change all the cars in the game without crashes like that?

i belive this is what you wanted.

Use OpenIV (Download: http://ntscorp.ru/ovi/setup/ovisetup.exe) Note: IE9 may say that this file may harm your computer. This is a false positive and all you need to do is click "more actions" and then "run anyway".

Install one car with openIV, load up GTA and play for a little while. If it is working fine quit and install another vehicle. (Be sure to use slots such as "noose" and do not use "police1" or "police2"

What graphics card do you have?

I have a geforce 440 made by nvidia. Now I don't know alot about computers but I belive I may need a bigger power supply to run it I am not sure tho this is just what I have read in various places. I will try what you suggested and let you know thanks for your help!

I tryed open IV aand did what you said after i installed the second car once agian the car didint appear in the allyway but it didnt crash the game just quit responding no butons work.
