if anyone could help me I am new to the modding thing and I recently downloaded a lcpd charger and the wft and wtd files were police3 I have never seen it before so if anyone could help pls reply thx.

I assume you have the standard GTA IV with Niko. police3, police4 and policeb are all vehicles that are found only in GTA IV: EFLC.

These vehicles can be added to the standard game though. If you downloaded the LCPD charger that I think you have (Bxbugs123's ELSv8 model) there should be instructions and the required files/settings that came with that download.

You can always google "add police3 to GTAIV" or something...there is plenty of  tutorials out there.

If you have the normal version of GTA IV (not EFLC), you can just change the file names from police3 to whatever else (police2, police, fbi, polpatriot, etc).  Then they'll work fine.  Example: police3.wtd -> police.wtd

 

Edit: police3 is the buffalo police cruiser in EFLC, I believe.  If you're wondering what it normally is.

police3 is the vehicle model name for the Police Buffalo in TBoGT. This model can be added into GTA4 through modding, I've made a mod for that already.

Yes, you can rename it to whatever car you want to replace.
