"Error in Script: LCPDFR Loader.Loader!"

Featured Replies

I keep getting the "Error in Script: LCPDFR Loader.Loader!" :wallbash:Is there a way I can fix this? The error message pops up as soon as I enter the game. I have located this file in the scripts folder of my GTA IV folder and it's the only one in there. Is there something that I'm missing here?

The error seemed to have occurred as soon as I hit play and all of the game booted up, as soon as I got in the game in my house, I get the error message. I haven't used any other mods. Also, how can I tell if my game is 1.0.7.0? Will it say so in the control panel in programs & features? My computer is running .NET Framework 4.5, I checked in the features part of the control panel and enabled all of them. Would this require a system restart?

I did find where the console was recorded at what my computer did when LCPDFR was attempting to load, it's attached. I really need the help because I'm new at this stuff.

Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR.

You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them.

Please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: .Net Framework 4.5Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012

If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post.

If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following:

Turns out, I had the wrong version of Microsoft Visual 2012 Installed! I had the (x64) version. I unstalled that and reinstalled the (x86) version and the mod ran!

I learned from the forums that LCPDFR 1.0c is a 32-bit mod. Also I learned that x86 = 32-bit. You need to have the correct version of everything that is necessary for the mod to run!
