Some major problems with the GTA and LCPDFR

Featured Replies

Hello!

I have recently bought a new computer, and now I am experiencing some problems which prevent me from playing the game normally.

First, after installing the LCPDFR along with any police car modifications, even if that is just one or two cars, I start to constantly get the disappearing textures problem in the police station menus, and if that happens no keyboard controls work and the only known fix for me is to restart the game and just try again. This seems to happen again and again.

Even If I manage to get my cop and start playing, after some time the game will crash with different errors like MMA10.

That happens every time I play.

Also, I have updated to the new version 1.0C

I like it much more than the previous build, especially the fact the the cops no longer walk around with their guns drawn and point them at everybody all the time.

But now, I have the old known taser problem again.

It just will not show up. Whatever I do.

Some scripts tend to crash suddenly. For example, all other cops stop thinking of me as a cop and start shooting me together with the suspects we have been shooting just a moment before. Or all of the mod controls cease working and I just have to restart the game.

Of course, performance, for example, is much better with my new computer, but I never had this bunch of problems, completely stopping me from playing the game.

Help me, please!

Please, tell me what game files do I need to post here to tell more about the nature of those errors.

The only mods I have ever used on my current installation are the packs of Toronto and Chicago police cars, LCPDFR and ELS.

Thank you!

Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR.

You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them.

Please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: .Net Framework 4.5Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012

If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post.

If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following:
