Gta 4 and steam not launching

Featured Replies

Whenever i go to double click on gta 4 (icon on desktop) it always says scanning for steam updates, then once its done, it does nothing. After that i double clicked on tje gta 4 icon again and it just did the little loading circle that windows does before it opens a program. It does the same for steam. Neither will open. Ive tried running both as administrator but it doesnt help. But whenever i did double click on gta 4 to run as admin, it opened but stayed at a black screen. I do have els v6, lcpdfr .95rc2 and a couple car mods. Please help! It was all working fine yesterday and lastnight!

Well. I'm not sure what it was, but it was a virus. When i ran a scan with norton it said that the lcpdfr diagnostics tool was a virus. And it removed it. I know anti virus' are sketchy with these mods.

No problem :) Glad I could help :)

I laughed after reading this. You helped him with an anti-virus program but not his problem. :P

Try removing your mods, treyjames, or get a fresh copy and tell me if it works. If you haven't restarted your computer in the last few days, you should do that too.
