With the new ELS V8 released, it is of course now possible to have the actual vehicle headlamps as the wig-wags (alternating headlamps). With this in-mind, how do I remove the non-corona based ones (if at all possible)?

Since you don't know how to remove them, I'm assuming you didn't make the car. Basically you can't unless you made the car model. You could ask the author to do it for you, but there is no certainty to whether or not they will.

You can change the pattern of the original wig-wags to H-03, which turns them off automatically. 

That way, you only have the coronas flashing at light stage #3
