First of all, I am new to this and I don't know what I am doing in GTA IV on pc. I have my settings on the lowest settings and I still lag. I looked it up and my computer supposedly can handle the game, but for some reason I lag like total balls. Any suggestions to fix that would be appreciated

 

First question: I have 3 mods, ELS v8, LCPDFR 1.0b, and Simple Native Trainer. The only mod that looks to be working is Simple Native Trainer. I have dsound dll. My question is, how do I check if LCPDFR and ELS are working because I tried some controls to turn the things on but they won't seem to work. I used the auto-installer for LCPDFR and for ELS, I dragged the installation contents into my DIR for GTA IV. I got the downloads from this site so they shouldn't be a virus.

 

Second question: I have a skin that I know is working for a police car because I saw it, however for some reason, the lights only turn on for half the car, I don't know why.

 

I appreciate any support you guys have to give, I am sorry if I sound like a noob and if I am missing something silly.

 if your on the lowest settings and still lag then your computer can't handle GTA 4, Can you tell us your PC Specs (HDD, RAM, graphics card, processor etc)

 

1. remove the auto installer, since people do have problems with the auto installer, try the manual way here - '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

 

2. remove your ELS files from your directory and follow this guide -

 

3. for ELS lights to work, you need ELS.. so without it any ELS compatible vehicles are useless. A texture isn't the problem that is causing it, it's the ELS not being installed correctly

Seeing as you've got SNT, are your trainer keys off? (open trainer, go to options, 1st page right column, somewhere near the bottom I think)

What about the stuff you need like directx. I want to know if it is those things causing it, how do I check if I have the right versions needed
I did the els setup like shown in the video, still no luck, maybe I am not using the controls right?

 

Also, I turned the keys off for the native trainer
