LVPDFR loader.loader can´t find advancedhook.dll

Featured Replies

Hi there,

So i tried installing GTA4 (Along with LCPD:FR ofcourse) again, since i heard that LCPD:FR 1.0 has been released. YEAH! A great thank you to the developers for such an awesome mod!

However, after i installed it and fired up the incredible bad port that GTA4 is, i instantly got a mention that there was an error in LCPDFR_Loader.Loader. So i opened the debug menu (which is visible in the screenshots attached, sorry i'm a tad to lazy to copy it to here). In the debug menu it said that there is a problem with loading or assembling advancedhook.dll. So i checked, it's there in the folder alright(In the screenshot below i included one with the contents of my folder). I tried reloading the scripts, no luck. Reinstalled the mod, no luck. Reinstalled the game, no luck. Did a manual install 4 times, still no luck. I'm pretty much at the end of what i know about .net, so i can't do much more...

I was wondering if there have been earlier reports about this (couldn't find them) and/or if someone was able of fixing this error?

Kind Regards,

DragonSlayer666

P.S. i couldn't find the AdvancedHook.log, so i attached the Asilog. Maybe it's of help?

You might be missing a dependency. Check chapter 3 of this guide '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

Also run the diagnostics tool packaged with LCPDFR 1.0b it will highlight any install errors.

Thank you for your response. I've tried downloading and installing all dependencies and none worked.

While running the diagnistics tool i get 2 errors:

The scripthookdotnet.asi has been modified (which is the one from the manual LCPD:FR install). I tried overwriting it 3 times, but it keeps this error.

It says i am using 2 ASI loaders, even though i have not installed any asi loader except for the dsound.dll. It is a completely fresh install, so there can't be any left from other mods.

Right ok.

Completely uninstall LCPDFR. Get the automatic install for 1.0b and then run that, then try the diagnostics tool again.

If that produces the same result, I recommend you uninstall it all (GTA IV included) delete any files which remain to be sure nothing is still modded. Then reinstall GTA IV again and make a clean backup.

When you have done that verify GTA IV runs, if it does go ahead and reinstall LCPDFR 1.0b. and try the diagnostics tool again.

Hi,

So i completely erased GTAIV, worked like a charm. Tried reinstalling LCPDFR 1.0b, same problem again. Diagnostics tool still says i modified scripthookdotnet.asi and that there are to asi loaders. I even formatted the games partition (i only had 2 games installed) and tried again, no luck.

Hi,

Ok so, when you go in game pressing ALT + P still does nothing?

Try running the game as an administrator?

It shouldn't be detecting a modified scripthookdotnet.asi if you did an entirely fresh install and it also shouldn't be detecting more than one ASI Loader. you either have dsound.dll or xlive.dll.

If you use dsound.dll try swapping it out for the xlive.dll and see what effect it has. xlive.d;; blocks online services however, but it runs more stable. I highly recommend using xlive.dll. But if you intend to play lcpdfr multiplayer then you have to use dsound.dll.
