GTA IV not starting with LCPDFR installed

Featured Replies

I am attempting to update to 1.0 but with 1.0 installed, GTA will not work. I click "Play" on the Rockstar page and the game does not start. I get no error message. I have totally uninstalled the old version of LCPDFR. I have totally uninstalled GTA. I have uninstalled GFWL and the Rockstar application. I have tried both automatic downloads of LCPDFR as well as the manual version. I have attempted to run as administrator. I have restarted my computer. Nothing has worked. I am running on Windows 7 on a computer that is only six months old and has plenty of power with everything up to date. The prior version of LCPDFR worked so this is all really weird! Thanks for the help.

Hi.

I'm having the same problem with my game as well. I hope someone can help us find out what the problem is, or perhaps make an update. Thanks!

Try this:

1. Uninstall gta IV completely

2. Install and play gta iv with no mods until you complete the third mission

3. Install lcpdfr using the manual installer

Ha very weird, but I will try it. Glad that you could solve both of our problems.
