I saved while using LCPDFR. My saved game is corrupt. What do I do?!

Hi,

Just as the title says, I saved the game on accident while using LCPDFR. Whenever it goes to the "Loading - *Story Name*" it crashes and I'm unable to play the game. I really don't want to uninstall and reinstall as I have a BUNCH of mods on here. Is there any easy way to delete the corrupted save data file and replace it with a fresh one?

Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks.

Thanks. And by creating a new game, I mean deleting the file in the GTA folder, not actually inside the game. I really appreciate you helping out. Thanks! If you need any other info, do not hesitate to reply or even to email me at impcreationswg@gmail.com

I do know default location for saved games is in documents /rockstar games / GTA IV /saved games.

If you have a save game back up then delete whats in there and replace, if you don't have a back up and dont want to play the story again you can download a 100% savegame file.

Or just delete whats in there and start a new game, do the first mission which involves taking Niko's cousin to the safehouse after getting of the boat. After that I believe LCPDFR will work with all the map unlocked.

Note: not tried that myself it's just what I have read many times.

Where is that located? Could not find a saved games file located. I am using the Steam version of GTA IV.

Or you can delete your save game, the download the respective save game till which u finished from the link below...

http://www.gtaforums...howtopic=390264

Mostly your saved game will be in

C:UsersUser AccountAppDataLocalRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegame

But if you have the xliveless.dll file then your save game will be moved to C:UsersUsernameDocumentsRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegame

So delete the file and download the respective savegame...!!!

I have steam version as well. Don't think that makes any difference. Forget about where the game is kept, saved games are stored seperately.

What operating system do you have ? In windows 7 and prob, vista as well it will be in your documents unless as aparna said you installed xliveless.

tbh prob' the easiest way is what braveheart suggested. Search for SGTA400 and once found right click and "open file location"

For steam or non steam the save game will be stored in C:UsersUser AccountAppDataLocalRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegame

but as I mentioned earlier, xliveless moves your saved games to C:UsersUsernameDocumentsRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegame.

So check these two folders and the AppData folder is hidden by default.

Ahh yes, forgot about that. If you can't find it go to control panel and select "Apperance and personalisation" then select "Folder options / Show hidden folders" A new window pops up and in "view" make sure "show hidden folders" is checked, hit apply and look again.
