Does GFWL Save Your GTA IV Save On A Remote Server?

Featured Replies

Does GFWL save your savegame on another computer/server. GFWL makes me enter in my password every time I go on to GTA even though I have it checked for it to save my password. So if I delete the profile, do I have to start all over again with the storyline or will it download your savegame back to your computer?

Thanks,

GtaPoliceWinthrop

When using GFWL all of your savegames are stored on your local computer in your appdata folder, I believe.  However, it's tied to your GFWL account / profile so if you use a new one I believe that your saves will fail to load.  You'd have to use xlive.dll instead of dsound.dll, and then move your saves into your documents folder.

It's been a while since I've played GTA so my memory is a little hazy, but that should be correct.
