You probably didn't replace it correctly.

Not a huge amount, OpenIV is more up to date (I think, don't quote me on that) and quite a few people say it is more stable than SparkIV.

alright so just go download open iv and simply install the vehicle i want as said on the tutorial just drag and drop.

Pretty much yes. Make sure you're in edit mode though (You will see a button which says edit mode, it allows you to do the drag and drop thing, otherwise you're just browsing the files)
