Hi guys,

I just wanted to tell about a strange experience I made with the new version 1.0b. Maybe this can be helpful for some players as well.

 

1. So I started the game right after the installation of the update and it took just about one minute to crash the whole game without further notice. I did nothing special in the game. In fact I've been waiting for the traffic light to go green.

 

2. I started the game again but it crashed immediately.

 

3. I was so frustrated about these issues that I restored a full backup which I made right before and so I was back at V1.0a. I played for a while, everything was as usual but then this event camera movement happened again. Well I am one of the players who absolutely can't stand this feature.

 

4. So I updated to 1.0b again and now the game runs better than ever before.

 

After all one should think that nothing has changed with this second installation but apparently...

Maybe you deleted your mods with that backup? LCPDFR 1.0 is only supported on a vanilla, patched and legal  copy of GTA IV.

No full backup means FULL backup. :)

I really don't know what caused the "cure" but I'm happy. :)

I know the feeling,  sometimes all it takes is another manual install try.  The taser files took about 5 tries and it works great now.

Oh forgot to mention: I used the automatic installer in both cases.
