LCPDFR Diagnostics Tool has stopped working

Featured Replies

I installed the most current version of LCPDFR with the hotfix without an issue. However, when I start of the Diagnostics Tool, it gives me the message: "Diagnostics Tool has stopped working". I do not believe I have the LCPDFR.log, AdvancedHook.log and AdvancedHookInit.log files. I may have the LCPDFR.log, though, I have enclosed what I think is the LCPDFR.log. I will also enclose a screen capture of the error screen. I do have the error log though:

How can I solve this issue? I hope I provided enough information.

Hello,

does it happen immediately on startup or when selecting an action like configuration? For the latter, try ticking the "Advanced Mode" checkbox at the bottom. Also make sure Microsoft.WindowsAPICodePack.dll is in the same folder as the tool.

That seemed to have fixed it, but now I am having another issue. I shall attach a picture to show it. It says that my login credentials are invalid when I know for a fact they are valid.

You can manually retrieve your API-Key from here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/csapikeygen

Put the key into your LCPDFR.ini file and it should work fine.

I entered my key here, in the LCPDFR Notepad file with the cog on it:

[Networking]

APIKey=

ServicesEnabled=True

And it still gives me an error message, the same one as earlier.

No no, once you added the key into the .ini you don't need the configuration tool anymore. It does the same thing, it just gets the key from the website and inserts it. When you do it manually it's all fine.

Error 0x1 refers to installation not found, make sure you tick the "Advanced Mode" checkbox at the bottom to manually select a folder. This usually occurs when your registry keys are missing or have been damaged.

Okay, where is the .ini file and what does it look like? Because obviously I put things in the wrong place.

The.ini file is in your game root in the LCPDFR folder. It's called LCPDFR.ini.

Whenever I go to use the tool and I click to edit my ini, it says that I cant find it in the eflc folder. I know you can just click on the advanced mode but is there any other way to fix this.

I see a LCPDFR file, but no .ini next to it. Is the selected file the right one in the picture?

When it fails to find it automatically, you have to manually select it, no way to avoid that.

Okay, I inputted the ID before and it did not do anything. But I had to uninstall GTA IV because I may have installed a car pack wrong.
