Help and Advise For Setting Up Mic For Recording

Hey guys I uploaded  like 8 vids of lcpdfr gameplay I havent uploaded in a month cuz I needed a mic. Well I got one now but I need help setting everything up. The headset I got are turtle beaches x12 and I use bandicam to record. I'm having trouble hearing my voice. When I put the mic volume at 90 and in game volume at 50 I can kinda hear myself, do u guys put the game volume down almost all the way or is there something else I have to do? I have Windows btw

Go onto the Video tab then on the left hand side click settings then on the Secondary Sound Device drop down menu then it should say something like Microphone (Turtle Beach x12)

For the volume I would say mic volume 100 and game at 50 maybe 40

OK 2 things, my dumbass didnt push the jack into the computer alll way and I guess the mic wasnt close enough to my face. I also put the game sfx and music to about 20-30 and the game still seem too loud

 

Oh and i did 10.0 db boost I think its called?

Nevermind guys I fixed it, thanks for the help btw
