Hey guys, I can't wait to start playing lcpdfr. I wanted this game for years and I finally decided to get windows on my Macbook Pro 2011. I was looking up info and people saying Windows 7 Professional and Window 7 Home Premium are use for gaming. I wanted to know will lcpdfr 1.0 one either one of those? Or do you guys have other one your prefer? I don't want to get windows 8 on my mac so thats out of the question.

P.S. Please tell me which one will work or they will both work. But, if you guys still prefer something else (a different windows 7) please add it to your answer.

GTA IV and LCPDFR 1.0a will work fine on any platform of Windows 7, but a 64-bit version is recommended over a 32-bit version. Also, it's not only the OS who decides if you can play GTA IV. GTA IV is a very demanding game, even for high-end PCs so make sure that your laptop meets the recommended specs:

Minimum:

  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz
  • Memory: 1.5GB

  • Free Hard Drive Space: 16GB

  • Video Card: 256MB NVidia 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900

  • DirectX 9 compatible Stereo Sound Card

  • Keyboard

  • Mouse

Recommended:

  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz
  • Memory: 2GB (Windows XP) 2.5GB (Windows Vista)

  • Free Hard Drive Space: 18GB

  • Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870

  • DirectX 9 compatible Surround Sound Card

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

Thank you, you guys are fast! One more question.  If I get it, what is recommended for driving? Using the keyboard or a controller?

Also this is what my Macbook pro has.

Processor  2.4 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory  4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB

Software  OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)

Is this good?

MODERATOR NOTICE

Moving to LCPDFR Discussion.

LCPDFR 1.0 works on all Windows operating systems newer than XP.  0.95 works on XP as well as the newer systems.  You'll have no issues on Windows 7 (premium, ultimate, etc).

The only issues that would be is my graphic...

You're running an integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics processor, right?  That won't really do too well with GTA IV, sadly.  You could get the game working on low or minimum settings but probably not much higher.  You'd need to take it very easy on mods (of any type) as well.

Ikr, well I got minecraft working fine, graphics on fancy. Nothing disable but 3D (Requires 3D graphics). If I download gta iv? Can I a least download LPCDFR and one mod car?

Everything else meets the requirements but My graphics.

GTA IV is a LOT more demanding than Minecraft, so I highly doubt you're going to get much. Also, with downloading GTA IV, do you mean from Steam or an illegal copy? LCPDFR only supports and works with legal copies of the game.
