This is probably the closest we can get to a functional MDC system for LCPDFR clans :)

As with anything worth waiting for it will be released when Alpha testing is done and there is a quality product to be released. To those still asking about features and such again I must say, this system is being developed for a community dedicated to role-play. The ultimate goal is to find more like minded  role play types that want the same in day to day game play.  We are considering various options available for how to best present this offering to the GTAIV community.

Yeah I agree that if big communities are able to come to some sort of agreement and be able to use unlimited features. 

 

I am sure that some kind of a contract or similar could be worked out for clans that are interested. There is the option of becoming a part of the community that has developed it if full features are wanted as well.

I am glad that could be done. I am sure that your clan is good however I would prefer to stay with my British clan and still be able to use this. The SMT from my clan have said they would like to use this.

There will always be a large group of individuals who will want to stick with their communities, especially those who have spent time and maybe money building their own. Plus there are individuals who will want to build their own in the future, hopefully with this system.

We are reviewing options as stated and the thoughts so far include, a limited  feature release to communities that are interested, A full feature release on a pay for use plan to any communities that want the full version or no public release at all. Again these are options we are considering and we value the input of the GTA Policing community as a whole. Thnx all for your input we will let you know what the final decision is when its made.

Well, I hope that you guys do end up making the right call that will not only make WSP command and its community happy but also the people you have shown here on LCPDFR. 

 

A full feature pay to use plan could be possible? So we would be paying for the updated versions as they are released? Or will you attempt to have more.....(for lack of a better word) 'control' to be able to shut the 'client' down if monthly payments aren't made.....?

 

I really like the system as do others. We hope that either a full feature gets released with not much hidden or over the top fees or a limited feature version that isn't limited to the point where it loses its effectiveness.

It's nice to hear that another community has made an in-game 'police-computer' and linked it to web app(s). However, if you aren't going to release to the public at all in anyway....you've.....pretty much teased the LCPDFR community and advertised your clan lol. (With all due respect......)

 

I mean nothing negative by it nor do I mean to disrespect, but put yourself in our positions lol. :p This is a badass system! :D

I understand what you are saying about advertising for WSP, thats why I waited to put forward the pay for use option as I don't want it to seem that is what we are doing. It has taken a very long time to develop this system and I understand that many in the GTA community may feel entitled to it. As I am sure with most community command the number one priority of ours is the community of WSP first then the GTA gaming community as a whole second. I might suggest that any further questions regarding this system can be sent to me through PM om here or any of the contact ways shared on my signature.

To answer your other question, yes on a monthly subscription system we would have the ability to immediately and permanently shut down the system for anyone not paying their bill, I think also that one missed payment would stop that group from any further use of the system as well.

 

Again to all that see this as community advertising I am sorry that is not our intention, all we seek is the ability to have something unique to offer our members that no other community has as well as find a way to share at least part of the system to the GTA community as a whole without taking away from our own community.

Could this be intergrated with Enjin websites. Majority of the clans who have a website uses enjin. Using the tag system and other modules that enjin offers would be cool.

Well, we can wait no problem :p. Most of us probably understand that developing something of that nature is no easy task. We understand that it will take time to develop a version that could be released without dealing with a million bug reports a second and even more people complaining about things that don't or aren't working.

 

And I didn't mean to come off making people think that the GTA Community is 'entitled' to your system, not at all. Its just showing off a really badass system to the LCPDFR community that we can't touch is not cool lol. That's all I meant.

When its done we will let the GTA community know through this forum or in a personal e-mail inviting you to try the limited beta version and report feedback. To also clarify a statement above in this thread we will only reply to comments and questions relating directly to the system, its options etc in this thread, all other questions can be sent to myself via PM. There are only two of us that are fielding questions and comments on this so understand the more time we take replying to questions (and yes some are pretty dumb questions) then the longer it will take to complete the system's beta for you to try. Most of the system is already done, I just have to encrypt all trasactions and secure coding, and make it look "Pretty" :) -- Dont get your hopes up..this takes a lot longer than you would expect..

 

I have more years than I can count of Web Application Development and Software Development, and me being the lead programmer on the project, I dont forsee many difficulties :P

WSP Community testing thus far has gone amazingly well. No major bugs are apparent and the system is on the planned schedule. Stay tuned here for potential release dates. 

Please note that the developer of this system is no longer associated with WSP. Our members will not provide information or support on this project any further.
