Unable to install in Windows 8.1 X86

Featured Replies

Well I downloaded both the automatic and manual installer from this site, whenever I try to install from LCPDFR1.0.Installer.exe first it ask me to download prerequisites, I downloaded them all and install but when it comes to the last one i.e. Visual C++ 2010 X64 setup I am unable to install it (I know it’s not possible on my X86 version) I already installed its X86 version, it says the X64 version is mandatory, except this I install everything, I am unable to continue my setup.

I tried manual install but its not worth cause my game is not detecting it or something, I extracted the zip in my GTA IV directory. Sorry for my bad English, plz help, I tried so many times but no luck.

i have windows 8.1 pro x86 version up to dated.

Hi, these are the redists you will need to run LCPDFR.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549 (If you haven’t updated GFWL, use this).

Also, you need to do more than just extracting the manual installation package into your directory. You need to read the LCPDFR Installation Guide.pdf which comes with the manual installation package. Everything is clearly explained in there.

my main problem now is the automatic installer is not detecting that my system is a x86 one andthough was not allowing me to unselect or skip the installation of c++ 2010 X64setup.

I'm not really sure what could be wrong. Are you sure you followed the installation guide?

You are missing several LCPDFR files in the screenshots. Download the Manual installation package, and follow the guide.
