Hey, my GTA 4 lcpdfr mod works fine until i drive to the police station and go to the yellow arrow to start duty. When i do so, the game closes and says "Grand Theft Auto 4 has stopped working". I don't know the problem any help would be great.

Running the game as administrator? Latest patch? What other mods are you using? What operating system are you using (Windows XP is NOT supported)? Make sure that LCPDFR 0.95 is removed (http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/how-to-uninstall-lcpdfr-r19).

Running the game as administrator: Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.

 

It says vcredist is not a valid application

And the other mod im using is simple trainer 6.5

And its also my first time using lcpdfr so i dont have 0.95

Please download the version appropiate for you (32 or 64 bit). Also, try all of my solutions and answer questions please :) 

Ok, i installed all the things and i did the administrator thing so now i just need to try it and i also did automatic installation if that helps 

I'd recommend the manual installer instead. 

Ok i tried it again and it did not work so im gonna try reinstalling it with manual this time and all that so can you tell me how to uninstall it?

 

If you want to do a clean reinstall, uninstall GTA IV and delete any left over files. 

No thats gonna take way too long because the steam download takes forever aren't there certain files you can delete to uninstall lcpdfr?

Yes, you delete the files that you installed if you used the manual installer. If not, just look for files named LCPDFR. 

ok i just did that now what just re run the isntaller?

when i get to the downloads this time do i just download the LCPDFR manual install 1.0a.zip?

Yes. that's the one.

Read the manual that comes with the mod, everything is detailed in that :) 

Thanks so much it worked i was just playing thats why i didn't respond i think all i had to do was the manual installation and install some stuff and it works like a charm thanks so much! And can you tell me where i can get some more police vehicles? And some details on ELS if you don't mind.

Glad to hear it works :) 

 

You can get more vehicles in the Downloads section of this site, or other policing sites. ELS is a advanced lightning system for GTA IV, you can read about it if you go to the download page for it (on this site). I do not personally use it due to stability issues.
