ALT + P problem

Featured Replies

Yeah, not sure shall I make a new thread but.. yeah.

I've seen this problem all over the forums, so at least I'm not alone. Makes me very mad. I've tried pretty much everything, manual & autoinstalls, reinstalling, even replacing the game from Program Files (x86) to normal Program FIles folder, always the same result. Even tried with compatibility mode with Windows XP S3 (Really out of ideas), but it just crashed. Game starts fine but ALT + P doesn't want to work, although 0.95 RC2 worked fine. I always get this:

"System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'AdvancedHook.dll' or one of its dependencies. Määritettyä osaa ei löydy.

File name: 'AdvancedHook.dll'
   at vdH.Zeus.IsTaskForPedActive(Ped p, Int32 task)
   at vdH.Zeus.IsPedSurrendering(Ped p)
   at vdH.WorldEvents.Mugging.timer_Tick(Object sender, EventArgs e)"

Checked the pinned topic about the same subject. Admin or so had posted the AdvancedHook.dll file, installed it aswell but naaaah... No good.
The AdvancedHook.dll is there, I got my two eyes and they're working pretty good I'd suppose.

And no, I don't have any x64 redists.

Please, this is pretty weird thing that such a common problem hasn't found common solution. LCPDFR is probably one of the best mods ever been made, actually the reason I bought IV for PC in the first place.
And this 1.0 update seems wonderful, just can't get my hands on it :/ Good games and mods always end up having troubles with me, gaaash.

Every piece of advice is appriciated.

Oh my fucking god, got it working!

Aparantly had some x64 redits left, deleted them and made a clean install. Works!

Thanks, and please close this thread.

I have managed to get Alt+p working after having the exact same problem as you, what i did was completly uninstall gta, remove all traces of lcpdfr, then re installed gta in the x86 directory, then patched to 1.0.7.0 then manually installed lcpdfr, so far the only issues i seem to have is the out of memory error on exiting, but i have seen a fix for that.

just my 2p worth :)
