I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, i updated it to 1.0.7.0, i added the trainer i installed the mod. The game works but not the mod so i unistalled the mod and reinstalled it and i came up with nothing, i uninstalled trainer and that didnt help so now idk what else to do to get it to work.

Make sure that you are running both the game and the LCPDFR installer as an administrator (right click --> run as admin)

ive viewed that video before and those are the exact instructions i used. but thanks for your suggestion

It might be because it's almost 6am now but I can't think of anything at the moment that could help. Someone else may know how though.

Also something else that might be worth doing...Can you post 2 screen shots, first one of the contents of your "GTA IV" folder, then a second screenshot of the contents of the "script" folder.

Just trying to narrow down and eliminate any obvious issues. And there are plenty of people on this forum who can tell if those folders are missing a file / folder, or if something is there that shouldn't be.

Try using left alt and P.

Right alt doesn't seem to work for me.

yea ive used both and when i do press the like it changes the graphic well maybe not the graphics but it makes things a little blurry when i do.......and how do i take screen shot?

The PrtScn button on your keyboard. And the blur is normal.

so if its normall that means the mod is fine?

The blur has nothing to do with the mod. It is a graphics setting with the game itself. The blur will go away by pressing P again. You can change this key in the controlls section so you do not have to hit it again; the one you want to change is called "Definition."

Yes, get those screenshots done for starters.

As said, open the folder you want to screenshot. Press "print screen" button on your keyboard. (normally between main keys and number pad next to scroll lock and pause break on most keyboards)

Then search for "screenshots" folder and it should be in there.

Prt screen has never worked for me for some reason. So another method if you have windows vista or 7 is to use the "snipping tool" founf in "start" / "all programs" / "accessories" / sniping tool... open it and then highlight the folder and save to wherever you want.

Or failing that download a free screen capture program. Fraps has a free version that does good screenshots.

Reason I asked for those 2 screens is your problem seems hard to fix, so we need to start looking at the basics and see if there is anything wrong.

Everything seems to be there. Does LCPDFR.log appear when you try to play the mod?

nothing at all. but when i play other mods like this one they work perfectley. ive uninstalled the other mod though

I don't know about these things but in that root folder is a Dll file called Firewall installhelper. I don't have that file, prob something to do with where you downloaded your game from.

anyway reason I am getting at is can anyone with knowledge tell if LCPDFR needs to comunicate with server to work. I know it contacts server to upload stats.

Can you see what I am getting at ? Is it possible that his firewall has blocked the mod. ?

Like I said I don't know about these things just shooting in the dark as it's been nearly a week this poor guy has tried to get this working.

i deleted that file and it still didnt work.

this is frustrating because im having such a hard time and people get in on the first try. ive seen video of this mod and it sick and i really want to play it.
