Frequent Crashes

Featured Replies

I'm getting a lot of crashes, most of them happen randomly.

I'm not yelling for help but I've been reading some of the threads, and it looks like you guys are collection system information and so on so I'm doing my part.

The crashes happen randomly. Sometimes just when attempting to pullover someone, arrest someone, drift into 10 people etc.

I'm running LCPDFR,ELS V7 and Los Angeles Emergency Pack V 2.0. Nothing else.

Legit copy of the game running on Steam.

I was having the same problem recently, everything I did pretty much crashed me.

For one, I suggest using ELS V6.1, in my opinion its MUCH better than 7, being that its more stable, easier to use and the lights actually turn off when the AI get back into their cars. I couldn't use v7, it would crash me whenever calling backup.

I had to re-install GTA to get my game to work with lcpdfr, Weirdly it used my rockstar account and saved about 10 scripts i had from months and months ago, I cleared out my folder (After re-installing), and put only ELS v6 and LCPDFR. The logs dont really say much, and that error that advancedhook gave happened once to me before after playing for about an hour.

So my suggestion; If you can make a copy of your current GTA folder, and re-install on steam. Try with both folders, and add mods one by one (ELS, Lcpdfr, and whatever else you want).

If you play with just lcpdfr you should be able to run for an hour+ without crashes, unless you do something that would cause crashing like call in massive backup.

And from your lcpdfr logfile, It looks like its having trouble opening a .wav file (The taser deploy). Make sure you have installed the taser correctly via the Knowledgebase post, and make sure your data folder is NOT set to read only. (Right click on it, uncheck read only, apply, OK). Along with any other folders like LCPDFR, or your whole main directory.

I tried a lot of options, without any other mods, tried re-downloading the entire game (15GB) and so on.

I fixed the issue with the tazer, but the crashes are still happening and it's a tad bit annoying. I guess I'll have to wait for a few patches so everything gets stable.

Thanks for the help.

It seems its never just one thing. It seems that when you fix something, something else is causing the game to crash. Lets be patient and wait for a patch and don't give up on LCPDFR 1.0.
