Interesting noises

Featured Replies

When i play gta iv for long periods of time , not just lcpdfr , my GPU starts making all sorts of interesting sounds , even though i know its just the fan working its ass off , anyone else notice this when running very high / ultra settings

Nope. What noises does it start making? Perhaps a recording? When was the last time you cleaned out your computer? Also, make sure your GPU is snug in it's PCI bus, because it can make a difference. You may need to replace it and/or its heatsink. We need some more info. What GPU do you have? How long have you had it?

SCNG FTW!!

You may consider to monitor real time GPU temperatures & fan duty. There are a lot of great applications around: MSI Afterburner or Asus GPU Tweak, just to name a few.

Anyway, as stated before, remember to periodically clean computer's internal components (fans above all) from "killer" dust.

p.s.

Be careful with those applications: playing with values (as clock, voltages or manual fan control) may be *very* dangerous for GPU safety.

as said above...

sounds like your gpu fan is getting loser remove it and take a screw driver just open the fan and remove all the present dust carefully without damaging it put the fan on the gpu back and tighten the nuts and screw then try i have same this problem with my old GeForce GT 430 same as your story then i did all those steps and it was work fine no noise.
