A friend of mine talked to staff that works in a Microsoft GFWL call centre and they said it was only the store that is shut down and no support on new titles. The "facts" in the article above aren't entirely true. They're going to be replacing GWFL with something else to cross-promote XBONE.

paul.dll

to: 

paul.old.dll

This bypasses the R*G sign-in thing, same as the post above.

If you remove Paul.dll it bypasses RGSC And still allows you to play online.

 no. i did that and went to the phone to create a match and it said you have to be loged in with a social club account
