Can't use 100% save file

Featured Replies

I did a complete new fresh installed gta iv on steam. I installed the new 1.0 mod with els, as soon as I use the 100% save file, it crashes when I load it up.
Any ideas as to what I can do?

Thank you :)

Is that save file made for your game version? Where did you put the save file?

I used the 100% save file I downloaded from gta-mods. I used it before with the LCDPFR RC2 or whatever it is and the ELS 6.0 and it worked.

As soon as I installed the 1.0 mod with the ELS, then putting in that save file into my documentsRockstar GamesSavegame. It crashes instantly when it says ''Story Complete''

I was told there's another save file in a hidden folder but I cannot find it.

Hm okay. It's true that the save files are located in 2 different places.

Here:

X:Users%username%AppDataLocalRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegames

X:Users%username%DocumentsRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegames

To make sure you can see hidden folders, do this:

  • Click Start

  • Click Control Panel

  • Click Appearence and Personalization

  • Click 'Show hidden files and folders' under Folder Options

  • The option for hidden folders is five check-boxes down

Wow.. thank you! Now I will install the game again, then install the 1.0 mod, then the ELS 6.0, and then the 100% save file. It should work now with both save files been deleted.

Thanks for the support and will post if it works :)

Sure do that and good luck to you! :)

Hi :) the mod isn't crashing but that remains to be seen. However, I cannot use the save 100% file because when I put it in my documentsrockstar games save file folder, the game says failed to load or whatever. When I put in the 100% save file with the xliveless file, it will crash my game. So, in other words...I cannot use the 100% save file at all.

Which means I will have to complete the game on my own but, that will be hard to do, as the game will crash with the mods in.

Any ideas as to what I can do to use the 100% save file without crashing my game?
