when i try to go onto multi player i can start a game everyones in the lobby but when we start it it puts me in game for a couple seconds then i get a black screen with the gta loading text in the bottom right corner and then it justs stays there idk what to do

Could you try ALT+Tabbing out and in again?

i fixed the problem i had to turn the compatibitity mode off

Sorry to ask but where is the "compatibitity mode"?

its in ur main gta folder and u right click the gtaiv icon to get properties and ull c compatibitity

Is any one able to Dummy that down? Do I go to "Run Compatibility troubleshooter?"

Go to your main gta IV map. find the GTA IV "extension" (below the gta iv browser). click on it to highlight it, then right click it and select properties. Go to compatibility and you should see a box that says "run in windows xp service pack 3" make sure that it is unchecked.
