Any idea how to take it off? I tried the glitch that works with Michael, but it doesn't work with Trevor, any ideas?

I had this saved in a text document, not sure where I got it from: 

Once you have the outfit to use in free roam, put it on with Michael or Trevor and then go outside and get in a vehicle. Once you're inside the car switch to one of the other 2 and switch immediately back. Get out of the car and the helmet will be gone.

I literally just did it and never worked :(

With Trevor just go into a clothing shop, go to the hats, browse the hats and go to 'no hat', and then leave.
