new game launch fails

Featured Replies

Hi - I'm new to modding. I tried to follow the instructions and downloaded everything that was asked. Initially the game wouldn't launch at all - referenced dsound.dll error. So reinstalled using the other sound option. Now the game initially launched but after going through intro shots, game shuts down "by windows" at point of starting a new game. The diagnostic check gave me all blue checks. Attaching diagnostic file. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It dosent give you an error? Just fails to load the game?

Are you using LaunchGTAIV.exe in your directory as an administrator?
