.txt as .ide

Featured Replies

Have you tried putting .ide at the end of a file name instead of .txt ?

If you are editing a .ide in the Program Files, which is some sort of "protected area" with Windows, chances are you do not have the ability to edit/modify files. In order to fix this, right click the file you want to change, and click Properties. Next, go the the Security tab, and click the button labeled "Edit...". Now, select your name (or the name of the computer, which ever is displayed) and check the Full Control option. Once selected, hit Apply, Okay, maybe Apply again, and close the properties box. Now you should be able to edit that file, and save it.

delete the .txt bit and put .ide

That's how I used to save mine.

This sounds like it helped, gnat! But, do I save it as "All Files", that's all that comes up after ".txt".

Yes. Save as all files, and just add .ide to the save name.
