Camera Angles

Featured Replies

First off, I don't have a controller, just keyboard and mouse controls and what I find is, the camera angle tends to be the biggest obstacle to my ability to drive well.

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the camera angles?

What I mean is, by default when using the 3rd person cameras outside the car, if I move the camera above and behind the car so that I can see what is comming, it will drift back down to directly behind the car. This blocks the view directly in front of me and usually I either need to have three hands (one to steer, one to accelerate and to keep moving the camera. ) or I just simply run over peds and rear end cars (messy but it works)

Now I am sure some of you with better coordination with me or people who have redone their default controls have found a way to improve this, but what I am really looking for is if there is a way to program (or mod) the camera positions so it stays where I put it relative to the car and not drift back down directly behind it?

Keeps going directly behind the car blocking your view?

Seems like a mouse issue bud.

Not entirely, i have the same issue, but ive always just seen it as the way the game is, and whT he means by the camera dipping again is, once u stop adjusting ur mouse, the camera automatically drops , until it is behind ur car and u cannot see, ( speed also seems to be a depending variable) im not sure of A fix on this one because its never bothered me that much, i always just keep sliding my mouse to adjust the camera, its second nature too me now, but ill poke around some settings, im sure there should be a way to lock the camera

Well, at least you see what I mean. I do think the 360 controller would help, but I don't have one (controller or 360) I am not sure I want to buy the controller just for this game.

I guess I just need to keep practicing.

I never need "three hands" to drive a car.... I use one for WASD and then one for the camera, which I always keep moving so I can peek around every corner looking for drugs criminals.

Aye, i do the same, not sure what the third hand is needed for, Wink wink.. Sigh lol, I just decided to look for a solution as PO190 requested :/
