Ontario California Police CVPI

Featured Replies

I was wondering if anyone could make a skin or model of a CVPI for me that would like like an Ontario Police Department cruiser. It looks exactly lke an LAPD crown vic but different markings in the white side of the doors and with a push bumper. It has the same Federal Signal Arjent S2 lightbar. Here is a couple of pictures of what they look like:

The first picture is what they look like now. The second one is an older unit but the words Ontario and POLICE are in the same spots minus the black stripe you see in the secon image. Vehicle numbers are in black numbers on the white near the front and in white numbers on the driver side of the black trunk. They also have spot lights on both driver and passenger side.

Again this is a request. Anyone willing to undertake this it would be much appreciated. I unfortunately have no clue how to mod vehicles. Although I would love to learn how I just don't have the means to do so at this time.

Would you just like Wig Wags, possible strobes, and the Argent? and the skin... if thats all I can see what I can do..

Well I would assume he would like a realistic Ontario Police lighting setup. Which would require whoever is making the file to watch some videos and stuff on youtube/flickr.

Additionally, it is a california emergency vehicle which means it follows California SteadyBurn law.

Sorry, but I laughed quite hard. the irony with Ontario and California in the same sentence. :teehee:

Whenever I think of anything Canadian I think of snow, eventhough I know they have summer there too I just couldn't stop laughing...

Hey guys thanks for the replies!

The link that Chippy posted is pretty much the exact same car except for the police decals on the side.

And yes I would love for it to be as realistic as possible. As far as the flashing patterns go I cant completely remember. Its been 3 years since I've lived at home back in Ontario and I did briefly visit last december for christmas but I never saw any of them with lights on (kinda quiet there sometimes). There doesn't appear to be any youtube videos of OPD with the Arjent lightbar, turned on anyway. But from what I can remember its either the same or pretty darn close to what is used in that San Bernardino County Sheriff's pack I recently downloaded, which is here '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> .

Haha yes. Whats funny actually is that the City of Ontario California was founded by two Canadian brothers who had moved there in the 1800's. Another fun fact is the first college, now a high school is named after them. Of course the college still exists but on another cmapus in a neighboring city.

For a deeper "background story" check my "about me". Anyways I used to live fo 4 years in FL, Siesta Key & 2 years in Cali. However now I'm back in Sweden again... I guess Sweden is alright during the summers but the autmn and the winter is just killing me.

Anyways I've visited the US before moving there around 7 times and have a uncle and some cousins there too. Planning on moving back there once I've grauduated the Swedish Highschool from the "IB" course.

Edit: Siesta Key, FL, not FL, Siesta Key :wallbash:

Ahhh ok thats cool! So which did you like better Cali or florida?

Haha, please don't kill me for this, but my personal preference is Florida. It's just more my type of climate. Worm, kind of "excotic" while Cali is worm (Where I lived) but it can also snow in Cali... It's also not that "hot air" so to speak, it's kind of windy etc, and of course the Water in Florida is warmer and looked awsome (Turquoise). Anyways might have been because I lived in Florida for a longer period of time. Both were nice and so on.

Miss my friends in Cali more though, had some old classmates from Sweden whom I met in Cali, oh what a small world, right?

Where do you live now?

I cant stand florida to be honest. Its too hot and the humidity is awful. However the heat in SoCal can be unbearable at times. I HATE HATE HATE when people form other parts of the country say "Oh but its a dryyyyyyy heat!" NO.... that does not under any circumstance make the heat any more tolerable. And in fact where I lived it wasn't so dry as compared to like Phoenix Arizona. The Pacific Ocean is pretty darn close and creats quite a bit of moisture lol.

But I guess my biggest problem with florida is heat, humidity, hurricanes, big bugs, and gators.... Too much nonsense for me. I'll take my dryer heat and earthquakes thank you very much hahahaha.

I currently live between Toledo and Cleveland Ohio. It sucks here... I'm in the middle of the sticks with notning to do.

Well, I'm that kind of a person who loves warm places. To me SoCali was quite "cold-ish" "warm-ish" weather. With much hoter climate for 4 years, then SoCali, then a Swedish Winter, my gosh... Too much of a change in 3 years. Really enjoyed my 6 years in the States anyways.

I'd like to move to SoCali (Los Angeles to be specific) and hopefully become a LAPD officer. None of that Hollywood BS. Just the department and the climate which makes it a attractive place to live.

you should come over here and help me fight the polar bears with my wiking helmet :teehee:

Nooooooo!!! You do not, I repeat, DO NOT want to work for LAPD. Unless an early and untimely death and the hatred of a community is something you are looking for. Haha.

But in all honesty as someone who has worked in law enforcement and has lived near Los Angeles, LAPD is not the department I want to end up going to after my move. I want to work for OPD (the department in which my car request is for). Its far enough away from the ghetto but still ghetto enough that I will have no problem seeing the "action" I want as a law enforcement officer.

Just giving you a heads up on it at all. If its truly your dream to work for LAPD then go for it man. By all means follow your heart in what you want to do. I just suggest otherwise lol.

I mena, it's not 100% sure, I just can't decide. I have a couple of different departsments I'm trested in, but LAPD to me is very close to my heart.

I know LA is not the paradise... But it's someting about LAPD which just, I can't really descibe it. It just makes me feel good.

Everytime I've gone to LA, the LAPD has always been nice, taken pictures and just talked to me.

I know there's budget cuts and the economy is pretty crappy overall in not just Cali, but the whole of US.

Sidenote: I don't really mind working in the ghetto, but there's something special of the brotherhood in LAPD. It's special in all Sheriff's/Police Departments, it's just that it feels like a closer brotherhood IMO.

Anyways, do you have any departments you recomend, prefeably not a tiny department, and I'd really like a partner.

But thanks for the heads up !

Depends on what you consider a tiny department lol. Here where I live in Ohio the city only has about 50-60 officers. Where I'm hoping to work in Ontario it's about 160-170 an you usually ride/work by yourself after your FTO period is up. But your first 6 months to a year you will have a "partner" who is training you. Other departments I could think of would be like Pomona, LA County Sheriff, even CHP.

I'll continue our conversation in PM's instead

I had to read it back a few times to realize he was talking about Ontario, California and not the province. *sigh*
