Hi! I have GTA IV on my computer (specs in description) and I just installed LCPD:FR. I loaded up GTA and when all of the pics were done, it had the error.

 

 

Specs:

Windows 8 64-bit

Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5307

RAM: 4 gb

Half terrabyte of space.

 

 

Please help! :( 

Is it a legal copy of the game? Are you running the game as administrator? What mods are you using? Download and run this, post the log ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>).

It said that GTA IV: ASI Loader not found. What do I do? It is a legal copy of the game and LCPDFR is the only mod I have installed right now

It's probably because you didn't run LCPDFR installer as administrator. 

KK. Yes it is a legal copy. Im running it as admin. Only LCPDFR is installed and I ran it and it said that the ASI loader was not found.

Run the LCPDFR installer as administrator by Right-clicking on it, click Properties > Compability> check the box 'Run as Administrator'. Do the same to GTAIV.exe and LaunchGTAIV.exe

Just did all of that and I launched the game as admin and it still came up with the black screen.

Can you post the log from the diag tool? 

Can you disable UAC and try it again? Disabling UAC:

1. Open the start menu/start tile

2. Type “UAC” (without quotes)

3. Pull the “slider” all the way down and accept the changes. A reboot may be required in some rare cases.

Did that.

Can you make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"

It comes with the LCPDFR installer. It's called Dsound (or Xlive, I prefer Dsound).
