Els May Be The Cause Of Some Errors

Featured Replies

Currently, I'm running the latest version of LCPD:FR along with Braveheart's Policing Script. The game is very stable and I only get very rare crashes. However, I installed the ELS 7.0 mod and a low-poly ELS-compliant vehicle mod, and ever since then, the following issues have occured while playing:

-Traffic is suddenly limited to 4-5 different models of cars at a time (ie. only Presidentes, cabs, police cars, and landstalkers will spawn).

-The game randomly crashes after a few minutes of gameplay.

- Game crashes sometimes when I'm exiting an ELS-compliant vehicle that has its lights on.

I'm not sure, but I believe that part of the issue stems from the fact that the ELS mod constantly swaps out vehicle parts. If you can help me with this error in any way, please do. Your help is highly appreciated. Also, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I believe I am using the dsound .ASI loader.

Wrong section, moving to GTA IV Support.

Once you've installed modded cars, low poly or high poly, you'll need to use a Traffic Fix. GTA IV is prone to memory leaks and as a result will only spawn a few cars at a time (sometimes only taxis). I'd recommend using Traffic Flow; which you can find in the downloads section.

As for the other two issues, I'm not sure, maybe somebody else will know.
