Fitzgerald County Sheriff Esperanto

Featured Replies

Yo amigos,

This is my first post here. I usually goober around GTAForums, but a buddy of mine told me about this forum, so I decided to give it a try.

To make a long story short, me and the aforementioned buddy are working on a TC mod for GTA 4 that takes place in a small rust-belt town (information will only be shared through private messages) and considering the town's size, it doesn't warrant it's own police department, rather being served by the Fitzgerald County Sheriff. Thing is, the FCS is underfunded, and as such, uses old Police Esperantos from the 80's.

I'm wondering if anybody can take a Police Esperanto (I've seen mods for them before) and do some of the following:

*Put blue lightbars on it and paint it like the reference below

*A divider between the driver and where the criminals sit

*A laptop in the middle of the dashboard

The reference picture is right below. Many thanks to whoever can pull this off, and if you can, I'll be more than willing to share some WIP screens of the map! :)

  • You can use paint.net to make your skins. I find it very easy to use. For some thing more advanced you can download a program called GIMP.   Cheers.

Welcome to the forums! :) I think that is a pretty cool looking car. Not a modeler, so I can't help you with that though. Is it just me, or is the lightbar a tad bit oversized?

Thanks amigo :)

It agree, you gotta love the old 1980s cop cars. I'm not sure what to make of the lightbar, though. Most of the cops in my town have LED lightbars, but that looks like the old kind with the strobe light within it. I guess it's big because the strobe is big? I don't quite know. In fact, my knowledge on police cars is kinda limited, especially since the main plot in the TC is private investigating and the likes, with the sheriff coming in second.

Same here, my knowledge of police cars isn't that great... Anyway, I hope that someone will make this model for you. Looks really cool.

Cheers, amigo. Hopefully people here are more open for the idea than the folks at GTAForums :P

Welcome to the forums glad to have you hopefully someone will make the car for you there are a lot of car makers on the forums just make sure when you are making a request topic put [req] so that the car makers know its a request

Does it have to be a Fedsig Twinsonic Lightbar, or would you be ok with an aerodynic or something, because someone would have to make the twinsonic from scratch (unless someone has made one that I don't know about).

I'm guessing that the Fedsig Twinsonics are the tall-looking ones? It doesn't have to be one. The only preferences are that it's blue (like the reference picture) and it's not an LED :)

After researching a bit, I came across this already-existing Esperanto police cars. Is the lightbar on this one of the options?

The twinsonic is the one in the picture that you posted.

I've seen that lightbar around on a lot of 3d models and it shouldn't be too hard to convert. Did you want an enclosed bar like the one in your orginal post, or do you prefer the one that you just posted.

An enclosed lightbar would be splendid, but if that's not possible, the individual-beacons-with-center-siren can suffice

And apologies for the double post, but is there anything I have to know about the decals or anything? As far as the seal on the door goes, I haven't thought of a county seal (if that's the right word) for Fitzgerald County.

Well, if you want I could just make the model and give you a skin template so you can customize the skin yourself.

Also, you can edit posts by hitting the edit button below your post, that way you don't have to double-post.

Ahh, okay, thanks for the tip!

I guess just the model and the template would be good. I'm guessing you need photoshop or something to customize the skin?
