Mostly reports coming in on Twitter from those there, as well as "Reports of at least one gunman firing shots at security cameras in Paramus, New Jersey mall" from @CNNBrk.

Updating all the time, will keep checking for more confirmation.

Edit: Mall closed at 9:30 PM local time, most people should be out of the mall by now anyways. Still no reports of casualties.

One witness (note: only one, not necessarily credible) stated the suspect is armored, head to toe, with a large assault rifle. "'He was fully armored head to toe, like he planned this. Like it's not like a random thing,' said a male shopper who did not want to give his name."

"Witnesses told NBC 4 New York a man dressed in all black, including a black helmet, was carrying a rifle and started firing shots inside the mall."

Other reports and scanner saying male in motorcycle helmet, with oxygen tanks on his back(they go boom when shot).

It's possible witnesses are describing law enforcement when discussing a fully armored suspect. Hard to say for sure right now.

Reports are saying nothing shot besides security cameras. If the oxygen tanks bit is true, it sounds like an elaborate suicide by cop.

if he has oxygen tanks with him it is going to be very very bad

Another day, another shooting in the US,

-Twitter feeds saying suspect is believed to have escaped. (Not sure on that 1)

 

-Scanner says backpack and jacket found by door, one more gunshot behind express store

 

-Navy sailor says 4 shots from AR, 3 from shotgun

ok so they found the suspect dead in the mall they said a self inflicted gunshot wound was his cause of death
