Hi when i have windows 8 dsound.dll and scripthook.dll works fine but after I installed Windows 8.1 it's not working. I have the Directx 11.2 and it still not working even i got rid of my virus detector.

 

Specs:

Intel i5 3337u 1.8Gz-2.7Gz

Nvidea GTX 740M 2GB

4 GB RAM

Why would you remove your AntiVirus? 

Try and reinstalling GTA IV + LCPDFR. Sounds like the registry or something may have gone haywire. 

I have reinstalled GTA IV and also LCPDFR but it still doesn't work. It worked perfectly on windows 8 but not 8.1

I have not heard of any issues when running 8.1. Do you have the latest updates? Legal copy of Windows and GTA IV?

Yes I have the legal copy of both windows 8.1 and the original copy of GTA IV

.. and you have the latest updates to Windows 8.1? 

Try disabling UAC aswell. 

1. Go to the Search bar and type "User Account Settings”:

 

2. In the console, change the settings as per your requirement. If you want to disable it, you can keep it at “Never notify”: Do this. 

 

 

Hit OK and you are good to go.

Nope, it won't harm the computer unless you do something stupid (like removing Windows Files, this just gives your account constant Administrator access).
