But Don't those have a Pretty Big Price Tag?

Cause I want Strobes n' stuff, But I don't want

to Spend a REAL Pretty Penny.

Sergeanto!

Not really, a brand new Power Supply from a distributor would be around $100.00 depending where you are, about $90.00 for a set of strobes, mine was used when I bought them, paid $100.00 for 2 Power Supplies and he just gave me 2 free and I bought 7 headlight strobes for $5.00 each and he just gave me a few cause I only go to him to install my lights, getting them installed would be the biggest thing and having the PROPER wiring for them, NOT 18 gauge speaker wire that people say is fine

Hey I think they look very nice! Here in St Louis MO we can have spot lights rambars (if we are security) and any lights we want. (as long as they are not red and blue) But if say I run my own security company if I pass all the tier classes and get all the way to taser we can take a final class  to where security can use red and blue lights. (only a marked car and we have to have the certification papers on us at all time) Not recommended to have all your security to have.

But ya having the lights as long as they are not red and blue here we are fine. And yes can only use them on private areas and not while driving.

In Missouri Eay?

I live in Arkansas, The State Under you.

N' I will have to take a look at the law

for that, I am not Completely Sure

I know the Law about Neon Lights.

Lol Would most likely start your car on fire after a while, my buddy installed my first set, went through the firewall and around my steering under the hood and around the metal frame.. could have been catastrophic if I hadn't been in the car when the power supply caught on fire.

Send me a PM about the strobes.

EDIT: They're pretty flexible out here when it comes to lighting, just don't abuse them, as there are people that try to pull people over with red/blue lights, which happened last year with a 2011 Dodge Avenger pulling people over around where I live, didn't take long to get caught, light distributors can sell even a red/blue liberty but it's up to you, the owner/driver to be responsible.

There is specific wire needed for strobe lights,if you use anything else it can either catch fire or burn something out. you can find it at the light distributors, some may sell them to you, some won't, I respect the law when it comes to this as it can get pretty serious, I am one of those types of people that will stop if I see someone with a flat tire at 1am, and having lights on the highway in pitch black, are not a bad thing.

Some things can only be done if you do security and have the certification for it. The red and blue is only if your in St Louis county area doing security.

The state police (last time I heard) said security can use it as long as you are allowed on the property you are on. Now with that said St Louis City will not let you use anything other then green, yellow, or white. They wont even let you use it on a site that wants you too.  But some police I know have told me that laws change all the time so today it could be allowed, and tomorrow it could be different. So it always a grey area. Since right now I do security in the county area as long as I take the classes and what have yeah you can take the emergency vehicle course.

I won't do it due to the grey areas but that's why I do stick with the amber and white.

Okay, my last topic didn't go so well as there ARE people against the use of strobe lighting for whatever reason, I made sure I spoke to a Police Officer about the legalities of strobe lighting before I installed them this is what he as well as the guy who decals and outfits the RCMP vehicles for the Dartmouth/ Halifax/ Tantallon area:

I can legally have them installed anywhere in the car as long as I do NOT use them on a public roadway for an illegal purpose or on a public roadway at all, they CAN be used on a private road, driveway or empty parking lot, amber strobes/ LEDs are the only type of lighting that can be used while the vehicle is in motion and as you can see i'm in an empty parking lot, keep in mind that this is not for everywhere, I don't abuse them either, also, there was a comment about how a fog lamp mounted on the car would have been better, WRONG, it IS illegal to make the car look like a cop car, spotlight, rambar etc..

There are some people I know that may enjoy this, don't wreck it and start a flame war, Please.

Good looking CVPI there. Cool you're allowed to have them, as far as I've heardin Alberta we're not allowed any strobing, flashing, etc lights at all other than the operational lights (turn signals, etc). Kinda the opposite of where you are here I guess, not allowed the lights but allowed rambars. That's about the bare minimum. No spotlights, big honkin' foglights, nothing. Rambar and that's about it to make it police wise. I should check with the RCMP here before I make that conclusion though but as far as I've been told by a few other CVPI owners, rambars are good here.

Spotlights are good to have even if you aren't a police officer, as long as you don't point them in someones face I guess. But as you said, better check before doing anything.

no offense, but don't you think they are a bit too bright?

How else are they supposed to be? they aren't any different than any other strobes, plus it is night time & it looks brighter than it actually is cause of my Ipod.
